The Most Iconic Muscle Car Brand in History: Dodge

Dodge muscle cars and SUVs (sport utility vehicles) are world-famous both on the streets and in motorsport, impressing and outperforming their competitors in the market. Every car lover dreams of driving such a nice and powerful car in their lifetime.
The history of Dodge
Dodge is an American brand of automobiles based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, founded in the early 1900s by the Dodge Brothers, namely Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge. Dodge was originally a supplier of parts for Detroit-based automakers, most notably Ford, and began building complete automobiles under the “Dodge Brothers” brand in 1914.
The factory was located in Hamtramck, Michigan, and was called the Dodge Main factory from 1910 until its closing in January 1980.
John Dodge died from the Spanish flu in January 1920, and Horace died in December of the same year. Their company was sold to Chrysler by their families in 1928.

1. Dodge Viper
The powerful Dodge Viper made its debut in 1992. The original Viper came with a V-10 engine, which offered an impressive 400 horsepower, making the Viper an exciting sports car to drive.
2. Dodge Challenger
When you think of Dodge muscle cars, you are likely to picture the iconic Dodge Challenger. The original one came out in 1959 as a two-door sedan. In 1969, Dodge introduced the Challenger as a muscle car, and it has had the same look ever since.
3. Dodge Charger
The other famous muscle car in the Dodge family is the Charger. In 1964, the Charger was first introduced as a show car. Dodge then introduced the Charger in 1966 as a muscle car. Today it’s a full-size sedan that still honors its muscle car heritage.
4. Dodge Durango
The Dodge Durango hit the market in 1997 as a midsize SUV. Because of its sturdy truck base, it can hold up to seven passengers. The first two generations were both based on the Dodge Dakota and Ram Pickup.
5. Dodge Charger Daytona
The Dodge Daytona was one of the best NASCAR cars in history. The name is taken from Daytona Beach, Florida, which was an early center for auto racing and still hosts the Daytona 500. This car appears in the Cars movie as King Dinoco.
As for me, my dream would come true if I owned a muscle car, for example a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, because every time I see one, I just stand there like a child, so as not to miss a moment of pleasure.
